Banner Nurse Fellows Program

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

Hey just wanted to shout out to anyone who will be attending the MCC cohort. I would love to get together before class starts. I received my admissions packet today the schedule was included, so I will also be looking for some fellow students to carpool with. I'm in the south part of Gilbert right next to the 202. Congrats to everyone, it is going to be an exciting ride!

Hi eljefe101! I am also going to be in the March cohort at MCC and I think it would be great to get together with some of the others before class starts. I'm usually free all the time so just let me know what you were thinking about doing. And anyone else that will be at MCC in March please let us know if/when you'd like to meet up.

My schedule is pretty open as well binzbee. Where are you located? I'm in S. Gilbert @ Pecos and Val Vista. I have also e-mailed a couple of times with MessagetoRn she is going to MCC as well, I'll send her an email and see when she is avaliable.

I'm also starting the March cohort at MCC. I live in Queen Creek. Let me know when and where you would like to meet prior to classes starting. I'm excited to meet everyone!!

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the where we should meet this Thurs. morning? I have no idea what's around the Gateway are. I'm sure there is a Starbucks around there somewhere. I'm game for anywhere.

hey all march gateway cohorters!

come meet each other this thursday, february 5th @ 8:30am

there is a starbucks on 44th street and thomas in the arcadia shopping center. the full address is 2824 n 44th street, phoenix, az 85008 if you want to mapquest it. this is close to the school, so hopefully it will give us all an idea of what traffic will be like when school starts!

I applied to Banner at the beginning of January (after the school break) and was called by Banner the same week. I had applied for the July program, but was asked if I could start on March. I said Yes!

Did the people that were accepted last week received their packets yet?? Please let me know. I mailed back the contract last Friday, but have not received the packet back yet.

I got a call that I was accepted last Tuesday, received the contact and promissory note Thursday and mailed it back that same day. It is my understanding that even the people that were accepted in December have not received their packets yet. I think they wait until the cohort is full. I also heard that your status will not change for a week or two on the maricopa nursing website. Hope this helps.

No, not yet. I don't see that I am registered for any classes either. We should be getting them soon.

I turned in my application to BNFP before the 10/17/08 deadline and was interviewed Nov 14th (i think) I received my contract info & acceptance letter the week before Thanksgiving, and did not show as placed in GWCC nursing program until second week of Jan. Also have not received my GWCC nursing info packet as of yet.... waiting patiently still : ) so don't worry....:icon_roll

For all those GWCC March waiters... I am doing Mesa CC for March and we were emailed our packett this past Friday (I believe) so watch your email in box. They are asking for copies of your CPR, Fingerprint Clearance card, Health Statement from your DR, and Copies of your immunizations. The packet will also have your class schedule (but I was able to successfully predict it by looking at the late start spring schedule for MCC) and the uniform ordering info. The college doesn't automatically register you in the classes. We have to take all our documentation down to the nursing dept and they will then register for your classes at that time. Hope that helps!!

i have news!!!

i emailed an employee from gwcc fellows today asking if she knew if our packets would be mailed out in the first part of february or towards the end. she emailed me back and said that they should be mailed out this week! hooray!:yeah:she also said that if she gets our schedule in electronic format she would forward it to me! i will keep everyone updated. at least we have sort of an eta now.

also, just a reminder about coffee on thursday for all the gwcc cohorters. 8:30 am starbucks 44th street and thomas!

p.s. thanks massagetorn...you really gave us a heads up on what we need to get put together!
