Banner Nurse Fellows Program

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

to my banner fellows gateway march cohort classmates...........i thought it would be fun to all meet up on a friday or saturday nite for happy hour. that way we could all get a chance to mingle a bit. anyway, our social life is pretty much coming to an end for the next 16 months. im up for anything...... i was just throwing that out there to see how you guys felt.

right! i work very part time right now so my schedule is wide open. any nite will work for me. i handed in my forms yesterday to banner. i can't wait to get our admission packets.

that would be really fun to get together tonight or tomorrow. hopefully everyone will check this thread today! so...maybe tomorrow night would be better? lopez, just decide when and where and hopefully a lot of people will show up :nuke:

for those of you who can make it let's meet up at olive & ivy in old town scottsdale on saturday, january 31, 2009. how does 7:30pm sound? for those of you who can't make it saturday we will plan on meeting february 05 as well. this way everybody will be able to make at least one "meet and greet" . if you can make it tommorow night please email me so we can exchange phone numbers and i will get a directory out to you all. if this location is not convienient for anybody please say so. i dont mind when/where we meet....i'm just trying to get the ball rolling. see you all soon :yeah:

Hey just wanted to shout out to anyone who will be attending the MCC cohort. I would love to get together before class starts. I received my admissions packet today the schedule was included, so I will also be looking for some fellow students to carpool with. I'm in the south part of Gilbert right next to the 202. Congrats to everyone, it is going to be an exciting ride!

Hey, even though Im not a part of this crowd, I did want to ask....how long did it take from time you applied to Banner and got accepted? Also, do you think they will continue to accept students in the future(given the current economy)???

I submitted my application around October 9th the cutoff for submission was October 16th. Then I heard back from them about a week after cutoff asking me to come in for the oral board. I heard about my acceptance just 2 weeks after that. So all said about 30 days from when I mailed in my application. I got the letter of acceptance and promissory note before Thanksgiving and returned it via UPS before December 1st, then I just received my admissions packet from MCC on Friday. I spoke to the rep from Banner last week and she said that she has not even heard talk of eliminating the program. So hopefully they will continue the program, especially considering that things could completely change by the time we graduate.
