Banner New Grad Experience

I have an interview for banners new grad experience. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this, what the interview process is like, was there more than 1 interview. How soon did you hear back. What was the program like.. and any tips for the interview! So pretty much any and all information that you might have!

When banner calls you do they give you a phone interview or do they just call you to set up your in person interview?

They hire in all areas if there is availability. Given that Med/Surg and PCU make up the majority of hospitals, this is where there is the most need. I am in ICU, a friend is in ED, and another friend is in Observation. There's always a chance.

Have you heard of anyone being able to go into surgery as a new grad?

I have not, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. If you get an interview (highly probable), tell the recruiter you have a strong interest in OR. They try and do their best to place in specialties.

I knew two people , one from a previous cohort and another one from my cohort that got into banner OR. Both thru the new grad program at banner.

I applied about a week ago to East Valley and it automatically went to no longer being considered is it because I graduate in December? The people that have interviews have you guys already graduated?

One of the new grads in my cohort at HonorHealth was in OR but had previous OR tech experience, I think.

I'm still in my first year and considering applying to Banner New Grad for OR specifically.

They will not consider you until you have NCLEX scheduled, because that dictates your start date.

Hey guys! I applied to the East/West and Tucson NGP's for Banner and have an interview next week! I live in Phoenix, but applied to Tucson because I really want to start working! My West Valley app says no longer being considered. My East Valley app says Pending recruiter review and my Tucson app says pending recruiter interview.

When the recruiter emailed me, he asked me since I live in Phoenix, ideally which facility would I like to be placed at.

Reading some of the posts on this thread, it seems like they are allowing you to choose which facility to work for.

Do you think I have a shot at getting a position closer to home with this information? Any feedback would be appreciated! :)

My application for west since september has been pending review and for East i applied 2 weeks ago and its says the same thing, its frustrating. It would interesting to know anyone that applied to tucson location if they allowed them to choose a location in phoenix. Are you interviewing in Tucson?
