Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else has applied to Bakersfield college for Spring 2015.?... This is my first time applying so feeling a little anxious. I am a LVN but have applied to both the bridge program and traditional 2 year ADN program. Whichever seat I get I would be glad to have at this point since I've been going to school part-time and working full-time for about 8 years.
Anyone else waiting just curious if you know the waiting period to hear back any news on the applications, when do you take Teas test, you know just hoping to hear from someone else waiting to hear back from the department..
Good luck to those out there applying for a nursing program and experiencing anxieties like myself to hear some news!!
That's what I was wondering about... I was wondering when the accepted but not chosen letters would be sent out. So frustrating. Now I have to update my parents and husband so they know why I'm on pins and needles still. Myself and my family were thinking this was a good sign that I didn't get a letter this week, but there is still waiting yet to do! I can't believe this is taking so long. I'm frustrated and nervous and hopefully praying that the letters come out sooner than what they said.
Makes me wonder if they've already chosen the names by lottery yet!?!
Thanks again for the update!
I am on pins and needles, too. When I applied during the last application period, it was more organized. I got the "not chosen in lotto" letter the first time (which I was told was a rejection letter).
They are behind this time around and it seems like everyone I speak to has been told something else. A fellow student called them yesterday and they told her only acceptance letters will be mailed out and not until November! So I called back, the lady told me the same thing. I then asked her if the wait list and alternate and not chosen in lotto would be sent out then too, and she said "ughhhh....ummm...the letter will tell you" and ended the conversation. Goodness! I am so stressed. I, like you thought it was good news that I didn't get a letter because that is what I was told several times by the nursing admin staff...Now I have no clue.
Mariammc,
I know you were taking Nurs 100 this semester, have they said anything in there about when letters are going out? Unfortunately I had to drop all my classes this semester and heal from a broken ankle that happened the week before school started.
I want to just forget about the waiting and I do for the most part. I try to focus on healing my ankle with the goal in mind that I need to be ready to be start the program in January.
There's a lot of changes going on with the RN program this semester and on top of the girl that usually does all that stuff in the office left after last semester so I'm sure things are hectic right now I'm not sure if they've replaced her yet. I know it's frustrating but give them some time to get it together. It's worth the wait I promise.

Update: i called today and they told me rejection letters were sent out on Friday. So if you don't hear anything by Wednesday, I'd say we are safe! Acceptance letters will be sent out two weeks from now.
