Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else has applied to Bakersfield college for Spring 2015.?... This is my first time applying so feeling a little anxious. I am a LVN but have applied to both the bridge program and traditional 2 year ADN program. Whichever seat I get I would be glad to have at this point since I've been going to school part-time and working full-time for about 8 years.
Anyone else waiting just curious if you know the waiting period to hear back any news on the applications, when do you take Teas test, you know just hoping to hear from someone else waiting to hear back from the department..
Good luck to those out there applying for a nursing program and experiencing anxieties like myself to hear some news!!

I applied to the 2 year program. Still waiting to hear from the department. Have you get anything yet? I'm so nervous and counting the days.
I was told that letters will be sent out late September early October. But hopefully we will here something sooner. Is this the first time you applied to the program too?
Yes this is my first time applying to BC. I just moved to Bakersfield 2 months ago.
Miriammc,
Welcome to Bakersfield! Are you applying anywhere else for a nursing program? Let me know if you hear anything back from BC. I thought they had switched to merit based system but was told it is lottery. Oh well I have good hopes of entering into the program soon, family and friends prayers.
I'm taking nursing 100 this semester but no other classes left to take. I will also be studying for Teas test with a book I purchased to keep busy :-)
I just applied to BC. Is there other schools in Bakersfield I can apply? I have a 1 y/o and a hubby, for me other city won't work. I'm taking Nur 100 as well, Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12:30.
And yes prayers will work.
Yes family is another full time job especially a 1y/o. I have a senior and freshman in high school and 2nd grader and my husband works 6 days a week 11 hour days. The only other school in town is CSUB and some other community colleges near Bakersfield, but those other CC's make for a lot of driving and gas expenses. My nursing 100 is on Wednesday but at 130.
Good luck, we will keep in touch. I hope we both get in.
I hope so as well, good luck!

Hello everyone! I too am applying for the Spring 2015 semester and waiting for the letter to come in the mail. I've kept in close contact with the nursing department staff as they have been low on office staff this year. They also told me rejection letters would be sent out in September and acceptance letters late September, early October. I got impatient and emailed again yesterday, as it's late September (and this is nerve wracking, I didn't get in the first time. I wasn't chosen in the lotto) and this is the response :
My apologies but we have been delayed in the office, rejection letters are expected to go out late next week and acceptance letters, two weeks or so after that.
Good luck everyone!
I know I called yesterday for an update. That's basically the same response I got. They said rejection letters will go out in the next couple weeks, by the end of September, and expect acceptance letters in late October.
Good luck!
