Bad Pop-up and Still passed??

Published

Hello Nurse friends, I am totally devastated today. I am in Colorado for starters, and took the NCLEX-RN examination today. I was wearing a religious bracelet today so when i told them i couldn't take it off, they made an incident report and i was even advised that it would not delay my results. Went in at 0805 and got out at around 1030 witha total of 120 questions or so. Off course when i passed the 75 question mark i started to freak out and also wanted to cry but tried to keep myself together.

As soon as i walked out and got my phone, I checked for that "PVT" nothing!!! Took me to the page to put in my cc and everything, so i was completely devastated then.

I got home and i tried the PVT again and I got the following "results are on hold, cannot schedule at this time" or something like that, my husband thought that was some hope and started to yell and get all happy, and at one point, so did i.

I called the BON and they said it could be for suspicious activities, or something they had to manually check. I was keeping hopeful, then after i come back from working out, i logged onto the computer again and there was no message anymore, there was just that evil page with the cc and the $200 i would have to pay again.

So tonight i am sitting on my bed still sobbing and wondering what went wrong, why was i on hold, and then now it shows i may have failed ?????

Does someone have a similar case to mine and have you still passed after you found out your results? It is Thursday July 31st 2014 in Denver, CO and i wont get the results until Monday, therefore i am a roller coaster of emotions right now and i want to cry my night off.

Anyone who had the same experience and still ended up passing? Or do I not stand any hopes and i just plain out Failed?

Thank you

Okay...failing really sucks...I know this for fact since I am looking at taking this test for the third time soon....but you know what? I am a nurse. I spent years of my life studying so that I can have the privilege of helping others and this one test is not going to cheat me out of it! I am sure YOU feel the same way. Just Because you did not succeed today does not mean you can't succeed next time. You are smart or you would have never made it through nursing school. Have faith. You will become a RN. God's blessings to you from this old lady in Tennessee. :-)

Who is going to be a RN soon too!!!

Hi everyone, thank you so so much for all the encouraging comments. I love them. And yes I am working now as a clinical research nurse and will be studying for that nclex too.

I will try a different approach with Kaplan. I got another 3 month extension.

I'm confused. I thought you said you failed the NCLEX.....but are working as a clinical research nurse. But you are not a nurse....? And are studying for "that NCLEX too" (is there another kind?). What am I missing?:cyclops:

Yes , I did fail indeed.

Clinical research nurse is allowed until it get your license. At least per agency policy. I do have my degree, and education to care for patients , but unfortunately horrible test taker :-( turns out I'm not the only one.

But I will be studying and working together in order to pass the nclex. I wasn't working when I was studying to pass and I failed. Something had to change. I hope working and studying is the change I needed.

Hi I'm from California. just letting you ladies and gentlemen know that I took my nclex-pn in February 2015. I just received my result today. 24hrs after I took the test I went to try the trick. It led me straight to the cc. I entered my cc, hit submit and did not get a pop up message. I was devastated. I didn't lose hope though. I've accepted the fact that I failed as most people claim the PVT does work. I cried, pray so hard and also study. I told my self I will keep on trying until I passed NCLEX. I told everyone, my classmates, friends, family and co-workers that I failed only to find out that I passed the nclex. For everyone's convenience, I tried the trick 24 hrs, 48hrs, 1 week later and today. I still didn't get the pop up and yay! I passed. for those who have the same experience, don't lose hope but yes be cautious, some people thought they passed but turn out that they didn't and there are those who are like me - devastated at first. I wish I can insert a picture of my bad pop up, again I entered my cc, hit submit (step 2) but did not get the triangle. also, I have the letter that says I passed. I'm new to this site that's probably why I can't upload an image.

also, a friend told me maybe I was doing it wrong so I ask another person to do it for me. NOPE no pop-up.

I don't really know if this PVT is for real or is just another trick. So, what I'm saying is don't tell people that they failed when they get the bad pop up. That's just MEAN!!!

Did you get charged? If not that's the difference. It is a trick. It's not 100% accurate. It's a registration glitch that works for many but not all. It's not nearly as reliable as some people claim it is. Since you were not charged $200 each time you didn't get a pop up at least you passed. I'd rather stress for 3 weeks than be out $600-$800 non-refundable or even $200! Congrats on passing.
