Hi. The only way to find out is for you to apply for the RN assessment. Good luck.

^ditto.

It is very hard to answer your question if the CNO will grant your eligibility to take the CRNE since it is a case to case basis. But in my experience, I was not eligible to take the CRNE last 2008 when I submitted my credentials to CNO. But I did not withdraw my case and provided documents to prove that I am BScN equivalent.

I am not sure if sharing the forms is stated protected on the "Applicant Declaration"

When they send you the BET they include a couple of examples of what they want from you. I think r.u.serius is right about the BET being protected.

I rarely call CNO for updates, but I did today. Waited exactly 33 minutes when I was put on hold. Everytime I have a question for the College, or if I need to submit an additional document, I go directly to them. The customer service rep was informative and accomodating. She answered all my questions, but there was one thing that confuses me. I asked her to give me a time-frame from when the assessor received all the documents til sending out a answer. The customer service said that there is no time-frame. A letter will be sent as soon as the assessment is done.... I asked about the 12 weeks (that I read on most posts here on the forum). But she said "no, there is no time-frame for that"... I am confused.

Anyone who had called CNO regarding the assessment/followup?

Thanks.

I imagine there are too many variables for CNO to anticipate the amount of time it will take to assess an individual's BET. A high volume of submissions and/or submissions that are lacking in some key component, would impact processing time.

Hi r.u.serius,

I got a letter dated 14th December requesting that I fill out the BET and provide some additional information. In that letter it said that I would hear regarding the state of my application within 3 months, although I will probably just get a letter saying it will be another 3 months!!Lol!!

I called up and spoke to the registration administrator and asked her if she knew roughly how long it would take and she said she couldn't comment. When I asked about the 3 month deadline she said I would hear something by that date. So who knows!!!!

Wow, every case is thus Unique!

Here is a summary of mine:

1. June 2010: I sent my application to CNO and payed the fee. A month before I arrived in Toronto.

2. I received the application package 2 weeks after. I remember the very first form I managed to work on that time is the "Verification Of Course Completion and Transcript Request (B3 form) from my school.

3. July 13th I arrived in Toronto from Norway.

4. August 21, 2010: I received a thick envelope from CNO with the following enclosures/forms:

a. Option form to contnue or withdraw

b. Registering as a Nurse in Ontario - Guidelines

c. Summary of Nursing Employment

d. Veification of Employment and Reference (B4)

e. Verification of Course Completion and Transcript Request (B3)

f. Verification of Registration (B1/B2)

g. BET and its guidelines.

5. August 25, 2010: I replied to the option form via FAX.

6. Sept. 15, 2010: A letter received from CNO stating that they received the faxed option form and also reminding me to accomplish the BET.

7. First week of November: I personally delivered my BET to CNO.

8. November 15, 2010: A letter received from CNO stating that they already received the following:

a. B1/B2 from PRC

b. B1/b2 from Norway Licensing

c. B4 from my Norwegian employer

d. BET

9. November 29, 2010: CNO received my TOEFL result and stated on the letter. "You have therefore, met the fluency requirement for registration" CONFUSING: because some says that they ONLY assess the document as a whole. While according to this letter, they already assessed my english profeciency :yeah:

10. January 17, 2011: CNO received ALL the necessary documents. And they didnt state any time frame for the assessment.

11. February 18, 2011: I called them yesterday. Operator said they will be sending a letter as soon as the assessor is done with the process.

WHEW! Anyone among the group who wants to compare please???

:D
