Azusa Pacifica (APU) ELM Fall 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone!

I'm starting this thread for applicants that have submitted/are in the process of submitting their application for Fall 2020. I'm hoping we can all get together and discuss our experiences with the whole application and potential interview process ?

I'm currently in the process of finishing up my application and am extremely nervous about hitting that Submit button once it's finished. I don't have the best overall undergrad GPA, but was able to redeem myself a bit with my pre-reqs GPA. I am hoping that my personal essay and references will help increase my chances of being accepted *fingers crossed*.

The deadline is in exactly a month and I would like to say good luck to everyone!

@futurenp01 yes! It is “APU ELM Cohort 111 Spring 2021”

Hello,

I got accepted for Spring 2022 in San Diego for the ELM program when I originally applied for Summer 2021 and I am currently on the waitlist to hopefully either start in the Summer or Fall of 2021. I was wondering if its common for students to want to push their start date?

Also I was wondering if there's any advice/tips anyone would like to give that I should know ahead of time. Also how do you like the program so far? Are you still working during the program? I am currently working per diem as a CNA.

Thank you so much! I am excited and can't wait to start!

Is there anyone who could kind of explain how they are running classes during the pandemic? I was originally supposed to start the program in January but postponed my admission to the Summer term. I doubt it will still be online at that point but im just super curious about the format and how they’re doing things right now. ?

Hi Students,

I graduated from APU's online accelerated BSN program back in 2012. I have the books from the program I no longer have any use for. It's too much of a hassle for me to sell them, and the editions are quite dated but still relevant. The only caveat is, I'm too lazy to ship them and you would have to be willing to pick them up in Westminster or Long Beach, CA.
