Azusa Pacific University 2011/2012 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I'm applying to APU's NP program this January and am sooo excited and nervous! I'm really trying to get accepted to start in Fall 2011 as I don't want to wait until spring 2012. This is my first choice (I've already applied to another school here) and I've GOT to get in! Is anybody out there waiting for decisions or has advice for the application process? I would've applied sooner, but they just implemented a rule where you have to have 12 completed credits for science, so I had to wait until grades got posted.

WOOHOO! CAN'T WAIT TO START!

I was told at my pre-advising session in SD that I would hear about admission for Fall 2012 in early December. Did anyone else hear this??

Congrats! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! When did you turn in your application? I am still waiting to hear back from them! I turned in my application right before the deadline though :(

I turned in my application for the Azusa campus/Fall 2012 on Oct. 4th and just found out that they don't have any interview slots left. I was told that our applications will be given equal weight as those with interviews and that it is a point system, but that doesn't make sense. Either way, I feel better knowing where I stand and have to trust that I will end up where I'm supposed to be. Letters are supposed to go out in January. Good luck to all!

Yeah I heard that too! I am getting really anxious though. :uhoh3: Hopefully it will be soon!!

Hey all,

I am going to apply to Azusa Pacific University San Diego Campus for Elm program. If any of you is in this program right now please give me some feedback about the school and the program. How hard is the program and how well is the school and NCLEX result of the school? I am also a little bit confused about the tuition. They mentioned that the tuition is going to be around 40K for the BSN part. Is this really the exact tuition for the BSN part or since you get into program there would be more hidden tuition? I am also applying for CSUSM accelerated BSN program. Even though this is the State University It seems the tuition is also around 35K to 40K for ABSN program which is around the same tuition as Azusa Pacific University!!!!! If you have any information about the cost and school I would appreciate help me.

hi everyone,

has anyone heard if they were accepted/denied yet for fall 2012 for the elm nursing program at apu? also, how did everyone's interview go? i had a phone interview.

i read through the past posts on here and it sounds like people who were accepted in the past received emails or phone calls and those who didn't received letters. i emailed one of the admission staff at the sd location and asked if everyone receives letters, and she said yes. so, i'm confused on how to determine who gets what when they're accepted or denied. anyone know the answer to all these questions?!!!

she also told me we should be getting letters in mid-january. i also kept in touch with another counselor and she told me this:

if a student is denied from the program, they will find out through a hard copy letter approximately 6-8 weeks after submitting an application. if a student is denied to the elm program, they are able to re-apply to the program by re-submitting a completely new application packet. we allow applicants who are re-applying to re-use the official transcripts they already submitted, but they will still need to re-submit all the other application documents.

soooo....that makes me really nervous.....

Got the exciting news today! Accepted for the Fall 2012 San Diego Campus!

Did you get a letter, phone call, or email??

I got a phone call then an e-mail...

Oh ok. Thank you for telling me =) Congrats by the way =)

Congrats!! I got accepted to the SD campus today too for Fall 2012 :) I'm so excited!

Thanks!! Congrats to you too. Are you accepting the offer?

More than likely! Still have other schools I haven't heard from yet, but Azusa was my #1. Its just good to know I have at least one school to choose from. How about you?
