Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them? thanks

Hey Abbey, I've been looking for someone who has worked with Aya. R u still with them? I'm new to traveling and would like to chat with you a little more re Aya. Hope you don't mind.

Hey Cutern007, what do you want to know?

Hi rn_abbey. I just spoke to a recruiter at Aya. Any info you can give is greatly appreciated. I'm currently with another company but possibly looking to switch. What do you like about Aya? I can't send private messages. Not sure if you can.

Hi Brookiern,

I really should check here more often. Well, like any agency, the relationship you have with your recruiter is key. Mine has always been very straightforward with the terms of my potential contracts, I can't really ask for more than that. THe pay varies, but thats the nature of travel nursing. They haven't really jerked me around on things like stipends. I actually just received a phone call from the "nurse happiness manager"; apparently her job is to simply make sure their travel nurses are taken care of!

This company is dishonest and incompetent. My recruiter ***** lied to me multiple times about housing, benefits, and hospital of contract. She stated this company was known for exceptional housing. I was walked into an apartment in Skid Row at Los Angeles (Which is the ghetto/homeless territory. There were concrete floors in this apartment, no furniture, and no refrigerator. She assured me this was the first time this had ever happened. Another traveler of ***** had the same problem I did. Since these conditions were not acceptable to live in, the company placed me in a "4-star" hotel until other housing was found. This hotel was filthy and in a high-crime area on sunset blvd. Also ***** promised I would be using EMR but it was actual paper charting. I drove from Illinois to LA by the way. I was not reimbursed for any travels whatsoever. I talked to my recruiter's supervisor, *****, and she was very rude and not helpful at all. She would not answer my calls or return them. I then spoke to *****, Megan's supervisor and again, nothing was done. Please reconsider using another company. This company is not concerned about you, the nurse.

Specializes in Critical Care, Cardiac.

My friend is doing a L&D rotation with them in the DC area and is getting a $4000 completion bonus (after taxes). She says they are a big company, and are generally ok. I looked at them initially but the recruiter I was speaking with sounded downright sketchy and was unresponsive to phone calls, then randomly got a promotion, etc - so I went with another company.

could you tell me if this was advantage or not.

Specializes in Telemetry/ICU.

I just took a job offer with them in Stockton, California (only because my former manager is at the hospital and that's the agency they use). So far, my recruiter has been responsive...I'm not too concerned about the hospital itself but I'll address this thread after completion. I think I received a fair package, not sure, but as I've read thus far, a successful first completion looks good on your resume.

I am new to travel agency nursing. I'd like to email you for info. Thanks, my name is David
