Update: crazy that I make less than I did as a new grad lol....Now I work at The Salvation Army in the Corrections department with dual diagnosis pt's for $15.96/hr and I also work in pediatrics at Health Force HHA for $16/hr in Ft.Myers,FL and I have 3 years experience. ALF & SN facilities pay much more but are way more stressful. The jobs I have now are much less demanding... So I don't mind the decrease in pay.
One of my close friends didn't pass her RN year but has her LPN to work while waiting to finish up. She makes 13.00 and hour for 30 hours a week as a LPN in a clinic. The extra year to get your RN is worth it, I make over twice her pay as a new RN for a little over 40 hours a week. We are in Colorado.

I was curious to know the various salaries of LPNs and various types of employments as an LPN from state to state whether it's your salary or someone you know. If not too personal and willing to enlighten from nurse to nursing student. Weighing out my options for when I graduate!
