Avatars for dummies?

The avatars i use i have to upload to my personal MSN group site, then right-click over the picture, click 'properties', highlight the URL, copy that, then paste that into the URL blank under 'User CP' on this site.

That's the only way you can upload avatars right now.

Two people in my family are computer people. They make their living with computers. They have been unable to get an avatar up for me. They also told me they think it is the site.

I have a webiste url and also tried to upload from my computer.

Neither method worked for me either.

Hi Lizz,

I was having the same problem, but I was doing something wrong...I was trying to copy and paste the URL into the field, and what I really needed to do (as mentioned in a post above) was right mouse button click on the picture that has been uploaded to the web page, click on properties and then copy the location address...then paste that into the proper field on the change avatar page. I promise you, it WILL work! Try it again and if you have any more problems PM me. :)

With the recent upgrade in BB , the avatar feature is not working!

Brian has requested a secret government computer whiz to investigate---for after all his fidling it still doesn't work.

I just figure it's a plot by another group to stop us from having some fun...but what I know about programing fits in my lead pencil

Actually, you were right!

Although it was my screwup. After I clicked properties I realized I forgot to add the proper folder to the url address.

Thanks a million LPN2Be2004!!! I have been sick of my avatar for the longest and wanted to change it, and have been unable to do so, did just what you suggested, went to my msn group site, uploaded the picture I wanted, right clicked it, went to properties, copied the url and pasted it in another window (just to make sure it worked) then came back here and put that in the url box for changing avatars!! Thank you sooooooo much
