I was wondering if anybody has signed up with AVANT HEALTHCARE PROFFESIONALS, a USA based agency for NURSES and PTs, which currently sponsors NCLEX-passers. Any updates with your application?
I have started this thread thinking we could update on the process that you are undergoing since US visa bulletin is fast moving.
For those who signed up with AVANT, please. Share your experience with them here.
Thank you!
Sember,
I think Avant said they will start refiling everyone in March. For some reason they had to push back the date after promises of January and February. I know someone who's been waiting for months now and she had her petition refiled just this week. So indeed, try to stay patient.
I had my VS Certificate before the I-140 petition and I'd assume the certificate is required for this specific purpose.
Thanks SpiderWeb,
This would be my first time for them to file for me. So may be they are refiling denials first before they can file fresh petitions. How long has your colleague had to wait? I did my NCLEX in October 2017.
Regarding the Visa Screen, it's quite confusing for me. In their steps on their facebook page, they describe it as a step that comes after the petition has been filed. It sounds to me like something for they need for the Visa and not for the petition approval. But I find that most people are asked to have the Visa Screen way before they even file the petition for you. They have not asked me to begin the Visa Screen, which concerns me because if it's indeed a requirement, then I am still very far in the process.
I also found the following from the internet. So this remains quite unclear to me.
",....With respect to the green card process, the VisaScreen Certificate is not required for an employer to file an I-140 immigrant petition on behalf of a foreign national to sponsor them for lawful permanent residence (i.e. green card). However, once the I-140 immigrant petition is approved, the beneficiary and foreign national must obtain the VisaScreen Certificate before they can be issued an immigrant visa......"
Ah, I should've realized from your VS question that it's a first for you. I guess nobody knows whether or not refilings are prioritized but in a way it's fair to those who've been waiting even up to a year to have their petition filed again.
The VS Certificate was issued in a short time in my case. If it's not needed for the petition, there's plenty of time for you then.
Hi, everyone
I recently applied for Avant health and took the nursing assessment exam and the English exam.
i couldn't pass the nurse assessment exam so I am afraid that I won't be consider for an interview.
i thought that would be easier and otherwise I was going to prepare for NCLEX afterward....
what at should I do ??
Hi @ Vaiochico08What is the progress thus far on your end? Have they filled for you yet? They have not filed mine yet, even after promising to do so in January or Feb this year. It is now March and their last communication is that I should be patient; they will inform me as soon as they have filed.
Also, could somebody tell me what comes before the other; Visa Screen or filing 1-140 petition. What comes first in the Avant Immigration process?
Thank You!
hi sember, i haven't heard any updates from avant yet. I hope that they will file our petition this month.
on the other hand, i asked them when will i take my ielts and will going to take it as soon as possible after pasing my nclex. They told me not to take my ielts yet. They will file the petition first and ielts exam will follow then visa screening afterwards ., hopefully everything will flow smoothly

Hey Yunas,
Wait for their response. There was something in my nursing screening that I didn't pass but they still considered me for the interview and accepted me based on the interview.
hi there!
I have been waiting for more than 6 months now for my I 140 to approved. I had an rfe which they processed already late last year. This really frustrates me. Others got their PD in 3-4 months time but unfortunately, my case is different. With my recent ff up, they said my case is still pending. The current VB is jan 2017, this really makes me anxious.
Who else have this problem?
Hi @aja92,
When did they file for you the petition and when did you receive feedback about the rfe? Also, when did you do your NCLEX?
Anyhow, I can tell you that there are delays for everyone I know and have been in touch with. They seem to have suffered quite a rough patch over the last half of last year which has caused a huge backlog. Hopefully things are now moving and the backlog will clear as we go a long.
