I was wondering if anybody has signed up with AVANT HEALTHCARE PROFFESIONALS, a USA based agency for NURSES and PTs, which currently sponsors NCLEX-passers. Any updates with your application?

I have started this thread thinking we could update on the process that you are undergoing since US visa bulletin is fast moving.

For those who signed up with AVANT, please. Share your experience with them here.

Thank you!

All posts about AVANT in this thread is encouraging. I'm an avant applicant too, finished all their exams and scheduled for interview.

I just want to ask if any among here have the same case like mine. I have been abandoned by my previous employer, with Priority Date

of November 2008, Have CGFNS Certificate and Expired Visa Screen and IELTS. Lodging my documents for NMI-Saipan BON and currently

renewing my visa screen. In my case, If I sign up with avant, how long can avant deploy me in the U.S.? Is recapturating of EB3 have a

short waiting period knowing I have 2008 PD? Appreciate everyone for any input on my concerns.

I know Avant will recapture EB-3s but I'm not sure if PDs can always be recaptured as well. I think it's somehow determined on a case by case basis. I'd suggest that you discuss this with Avant.

Once your priority date becomes current, you should expect a minimum of about 9-12 months before you get to relocate to the US.

You should also consider the time it'll take for you to get ready and take the NCLEX. Also, most states require the IELTS to be able to take the NCLEX, and you'll need the VisaScreen further along in the process.

The interviewer advised me to wait for email from Avant and said they'll let me know more about Avant via attending their virtual presentation after the interview! My question is after the interview, how can an applicant know if they passed or not? And is their contract offered to applicants sent via electronic or through snail mail? How long should I wait for result/ contract signing after the interview? Thanks for anyone who can enlighten me for this!

BTW, Anyone on the same train with me???

The interview isn't necessarily a pass/fail type of situation. It's just a chance for you to describe your job experience and skills in more detail than in your résumé, so that both parties are on the same page. Instead Avant will look at your screening exams to determine if you meet their criteria in terms of clinical experience.

After the interview the wheels should be set in motion and eventually you'll receive the employment contract as well. A link will be sent to your email and you will sign the documents electronically.

After providing Avant with all the necessary information, it took about a month for them to review my file and for me to get the contract for signing. I've understood they have a lot of applicants, so I don't think that's a long wait.

Thanks for the information SpidersWeb.

Yes I finished my exams with avant with rating of 83%. I pray so... that all will speed up in motion!

Hey kismetRN,

Honestly, my experience with Avant has been great so far. I can't really think of a better way or a better company to help out with the immigration process. I think I would've wasted a lot of time and money had I started this process on my own. It's really beneficial that you don't have to pay for things up front; this is why you're signing a contract with them.

The only criticisms I have is that their NCLEX and pre-arrival programs aren't tailored to individual's needs and that sometimes it takes a lot of time for them to answer emails (their preferred form of communication). But I totally understand them on both of these issues: they have a huge number of applicants which makes it difficult to tailor the study programs and also has them backlogged on emails. I believe they're doing the best they can with the resources they have and it's all fine, it's life and there's no rush.

So, you're yet to start the NCLEX review program. I'm not allowed to go into detail. In general, I can say that the program can be very intensive, considering the fact that you'll be working full time all the while. They'll expect you to read a certain amount of material and then take a test at the end of the week to keep track of your progress. If you can't meet the deadline, you need to communicate ahead of time like the responsible nurse that you are. I'd say this is one way for them to see your character as an employee as well. Before you'll be cleared to take the NCLEX, you need to meet specific criteria; Avant needs solid proof that you're ready to actually pass the NCLEX. Usually only 30% of international applicants pass on their first try but with Avant the number is like 85-90%.

After you've passed the NCLEX, you'll have your immigrant visa petition filed and you'll have to wait for it to get processed. The waiting time depends on your country but if your country's status is current, you could enter the US within 9-12 months. Avant will provide you with job offers and help you prepare for a job interview, they'll help you find housing, buy a car etc. You'll get a nice salary and you get to work in a community where immigrant nurses are welcomed and respected.

Hi everyone,

It is so nice to be back on this thread again. It's been a while since the last time I visited this page.

BTW, anyone here still waiting for AVANT to give an update regarding the I140 petition?

I passed NCLEX last feb 2017. They told me that theyve already processed my petition last at April 20,2017 and have to wait for 8 months for the result.

I emailed them last month about the update and told me they dont have the result yet and maybe they will give me my PD before the end of the year.

It's January already and I still dont have the result. I emailed them again asking for an update but I haven't received a reply yet.

Anyone here experiencing the same?

Im a nurse from the Philippines.

Thank u.

For now PD for philipines is n0v 2015.have you had approval of i-140? its after approval that PD will be an issue,n"yet and maybe they will give me my PD before the end of the year. " what did you mean by this? your priority day is the day your application foe labour certificate was file, which is normally done before i-140 petition. All he same,Avant seem not to be able TO COMMUNICATE IMPORTANT ISSUES o its employees which in my own opinion is bad. They are doing well but they have coontinously failed in their ability to communicate.Just inquire if the have approval of your petition which should be out by now,did you know if its regular the use for you? if you can give more infor, one will be able to react to

Anybody who just signed up with AVANT? How long we have to wait for our document processing to start? Its been one week now but I didn't receive any updates from them... thank you so much!

Hey lovemaldita,

When I had had the interview and provided all documents as requested, it took about a month for them to review my file. After document control's confirmation I also got the contract for signing.

Avant has so many applicants and so many RNs who've already signed, so give them the benefit of the doubt and remain patient.

Hi Alex,

We are actually on the same timeline. I took and passed my NCLEX Feb 2017, had my papers submitted in April of the same year and was told it will take a minimum of 8 monhts for another update. I was messaging Linda but unfortunately I have not heard of any updates so far. I am planning on going overseas to take on another job offer while waiting and I need to decide based on their estimated timeline. Anyway, all the best to us! We might even become batchmates in their program in Forida who knows.

Hi seventhdust,

May i ask where are you from? I from the Philippines. I also emailed ***** just this month but she told me that they haven't received a result from the USCIS yet. I have a co worker who is also with avant, she got denied by the USCIS and avant's been contacting her to submit some documents. That's why I kept on asking them for an update. Good that u have other offers abroad, u should take it coz it may take a while for our PD to be current. God bless us!

Hi Alex,

I am originally from the Philippines too but based somewhere else at the moment. You are lucky Linda replied to your email, I am still waiting for my update maybe for atleast three ***** now lols. I was hoping for 2019 based on our presumed PD but I guess 2020 is more realistic, what do you think? What was the problem regarding your workmate's petition? When was her papers lodged?
