Here in Ohio we take the NCLEX through Pearson Vue, I don't know if that is the same for all states or not. After all of your paperwork was in, how long did you have to wait for your Authorization To Test (ATT)?

The wait is killing me, slowly. lol

No matter where you take NCLEX in the world, it is done currently thru Pearson-Vue.

Have you actually paid the fee to Pearson-Vue for the exam? They are the ones that actually issue the ATT to you, after receiving clearance from your BON. You won't get the ATT until the test fee is paid.

It tool me forever b/c PearsonVUE never notified the PA BON that they received my money to take the test. :angryfire If it has been more than two weeks, I would contact Pearson and your state BON sooner rather than later. Pearson said to wait until I did not have an answer for 30 days before I called. Like a doofus, I did. I could have had everything over with two weeks before. Once I got through to the BON it took all of five min for me to get the email with my ATT. Lesson learned, I guess.

NurseyBaby- I think the same exact thing happened to me! After 30 days, I called up the PA State Board and they were like..."Oh you didn't fill out your social security number on the on-line form, so we couldn't match up your applications." I submitted the form that my school had to sign in the mail and the big huge fee for Pearson Vue online. I knew what I was told on the phone wasn't right because I wouldn;t have been able to advance to the next screen when I was sending that fee in if all of the fields weren't filled out. So anyways....I'm not taking it now until around Thanksgiving since all of the dates were full until then. And it also took the PA BON like 5 minutes to e-mail me my Authorization to Test. I bet the same exact thing happened to me, even though I got some sort of crazy story. Looks like Pearson Vue or the PA BON has some problems....but anways, JenninColumbus, if you don't have it two weeks after you sent it in, I would give your state board a call.

My class didn't receive our ATT until after our school sent Pearson Vue the information saying that we had met the requirements for graduation. It took 15-30 days after graduation.

I just graduated in May, so this may be how they are currently issuing the ATT's. Hope this helps.

But also be sure to check that your information is correct !and fees are paid!

Oh man I'm on pins and needles waiting for mine! I graduated Dec 19th so hopefully any day now.

I graduated Dec. 9th and I take my test on Jan. 12th. If I were you I would call them, they probably have messed something up:angryfire

i am a new grad in Ohio and am also trying not to stalk the mailbox waiting for my ATT : / four girls that graduated last dec from the college i did didn't end up taking their boards until MID MARCH. that would seriously tick me off. i just want to get it over with!!

Hi, I graduated 12/20/05 and just got my ATT via email. Now my question is - how long should I wait to take the test? I want to get it over with but I also want to make sure I've spent enough time studying. I'm thinking of the end of this month. I start my new job on Mon. 01/09 and want to take the test soon. All feedback would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

The question is when did you actually start preparing? You should have a good, solid 6 weeks minimum or you will just be cramming, and you will not retain what you have learned.
