Austin Community College 2019

Published

Hi Everyone!

I did not see a thread for applicants for spring 2019! I know its a bit early but since the deadline is in July I figured I would start a thread so we could talk about acceptance, application stats, etc. I'm planning on applying once I take my HESI. I hope to get in but I'm so worried!

How are ya'll feeling?

Hey! Does anyone know why they would tell you to register for RNSG 1105 if you weren't accepted?

Any tips on how.to.study for the 1105 exams? Our first.one is next week and all they told.us was to look at objectives.

I'm not sure how the other campuses are, but we were told to pay attention to the boxes on the pages assigned to read in the textbook. Other than that, I would just go with powerpoints and learning guides!

Its mid September and still no ranking email :/

On the spring 18 forum it looks like they didn't send out ranking till sept 27th. But that's just from me reading comments on the forum lol.

The suspense is killing me :/ Are you in a Nursing skills class?

Me too. Yes I'm at the cypress campus. I really like both my professors.

So, how'd we all do???

I am in the same boat! Have you talked to your advisor about taking RN to BSN prereqs?

I wish the deadlines were different so I could still enter in the Fall of 2019 instead of being forced to wait a full year to start nursing school. I pretty much have no left over courses to take within that time either and it feels like I'm gonna complete a 3 year degree in a 10 year time Frame lol

Did everyone else get their ranking email? I'm kind of upset about the HESI portion. From what I had been reading on the application process website, it made it seem like the average of the HESI was what was going to be calculated. I did not read anywhere that only specific portions were going to be counted, and separately for that matter. I took the HESI sometime last year before retaking A&P (it was going to expire). So my A&P grade was only 80, only giving me 7 points. That brought my ranking down lower than I thought it was going to be. Did anyone else think that they were going to calculate the average of the HESI?

What was your ranking.
