Did you figure out how to start a facebook page? I'd love to be apart of it

Hi everyone! It's been a while since the last post, I know it's been a crazy last couple of weeks for me trying to get everything ready for next semester while also trying to finish up this last semester. Anyone else ready to start next semester??

That would make sense! I went to the bookstore website and they update the listings for next semester. Its under RNSG 1413. I'm definitely going to get the ebook package.

so i tried to look at what the bookstore listed for this fall semester, and it looked like the right packages. it showed that the package with the ebooks and print textbooks was a better deal. i'm not sure if it'll change though. i hope they update the textbook list soon! i'm anxious to get my stuff together

Yes, I got my email last Thursday. I got my official acceptance letter today. I got placed at Eastview. Its a bit of a drive for me but since I've read that Eastview has the better teachers, it'll just have to be a sacrifice. Anyone else at Eastview? I'm so excited and anxious to get started!

Did everyone else get their ranking email? I'm kind of upset about the HESI portion. From what I had been reading on the application process website, it made it seem like the average of the HESI was what was going to be calculated. I did not read anywhere that only specific portions were going to be counted, and separately for that matter. I took the HESI sometime last year before retaking A&P (it was going to expire). So my A&P grade was only 80, only giving me 7 points. That brought my ranking down lower than I thought it was going to be. Did anyone else think that they were going to calculate the average of the HESI?

I'm not sure how the other campuses are, but we were told to pay attention to the boxes on the pages assigned to read in the textbook. Other than that, I would just go with powerpoints and learning guides!

I took Valle-Rivera and I loved her! She's so great at explaining things. But definitely try to go to every class bc she sometimes gives in class activities and those are easy points. Always do the extra credit and homework, those are easy points too. Don't be afraid to ask things in class, she's so easy to talk to!

Thank you so much! I'm definitely feeling better . I have all my coreqs done, my gpa is okay, but I did really well on the HESI. You're right though, no use stressing about the letters! Just need to focus on this class. Mine is from August to October so it'll distract me lol. Thank you again for the tips! You've definitely eased my mind.

I have read that as well, so it has been hard not to get my hopes up! I'm just glad to be getting onto the next step (skills class). I'm not sure, but I don't think that everyone who applies gets a petition. If your gpa isn't high enough then they won't even review your application. If anyone else has anymore info, let us know!

so i haven't gotten a petition email just yet, i did have to email back and forth with them about my grade but i got it fixed and now they're able to evaluate my application. how long did it take for y'all to get the email about the petition?

Hey!! So I got an email from them saying that I didn't have to bring my application anywhere, it told me they were testing out a new system where you apply online. So it took me to this link where I had to upload a combined pdf of my application, transcripts, HESI scores, and showing that I had green check marks on castlebranch.

Oh wow I didn't see they updated their page so I'm glad you said that! Ah, it's starting to get so real! I completed my application earlier this week. I'm so nervous too!

I understand, I'm a nervous wreck too! I should be done with my prerequisites by this summer so i will be able to make the july deadline. I would be sure to meet with your advisor so you know when exactly to apply!
