Anyone out there who would like to commiserate about waiting anxiously to be accepted to the ACC ADN program in the fall 2012 semester?
Have you received your petition for Nursing skills yet? Pre-reqs and co-reqs completed?
Hope to hear from some of you (or all) soon!

It we definitely be best to wait. I spoke to someone with nursing dept Friday just to make sure that I did not miss anything and she said to wait for email. Today should be the day!! I still feel so nervous, but I will feel much better when I know it is completely official and I can register!!
Yeah - I read on the new student orientation page that the background checks are to be done between:
STEP ONE: Complete Criminal Background Check (CBC) Implementation Process
...but I haven't gotten the e-mail with which campus I'll be at/next steps so I guess it's better to wait... even though we're in that time frame now. I'm just so anxious!

Somehow the last comment got posted before I could finish it completely, but that's the gist of what she said. I remember thinking it was somewhat odd, because I don't think the transfer guide they have for ACC says anything about the "in residency" science requirement. However, I think that transfer guide is specifically for people going into the ADN to BSN program.
After I thought about it, it just wasn't worth the effort. At the time, I had already missed the deadline for spring entry to UT, so fall would have been the earliest I would have been able to get in. Then a semester or two of classes to do over again, and another wait period would have cost me another two years. Don't quote me on this, but I remember a classmate in 2010 telling me that you only get two shots to apply to clinicals at UT. After two, you're out. Just wasn't a risk I was willing to take.
