Anyone out there who would like to commiserate about waiting anxiously to be accepted to the ACC ADN program in the fall 2012 semester?
Have you received your petition for Nursing skills yet? Pre-reqs and co-reqs completed?
Hope to hear from some of you (or all) soon!

Hey ya'll!
How does skills lab on Friday AM sound!?! The round rock skills lab is open from 8:30-4:30pm....I was thinking of going early and leaving by noon?? I'm just going to review my nursing skills stuff thursday night and then go to the lab and practice...just get into the hang of things again! Let me know if any of you are interested! It'd also be nice to start to get to know you hybrid people since we will be relying on each other soon enough!!!
I bought Grey's Anatomy! They were so much more comfortable, plus I'm really small and the Landaus and Urbanes I tried on only seemed to get shorter without getting any narrower. They swallowed me to the point of looking unprofessional! Several of the other people in my Skills class wore the Grey's scrubs, too, and I can only assume that they intend to wear them for the program clinicals.
Dang. Sorry Brooke!! I've had this M-F 8-5 job for the past two years and haven't really found the time to take off and go to lab. My last day at this position is next Friday (off Thurs for orientation), so I guess I'll have to wait for the first week of school to get my lab practice in before the first check off :-/
Hey pjatx!
No one knows for sure what will be on the checkoff...seems like it changes from campus to campus and semester to semester (from what I've read). I would think for sure vitals will be included somehow. It also depends on which campus you are at as to when it is going to be done. Hybrid already has their tentative schedule up and it looks like the checkoff is planned for Friday of our first week during lab. Good Luck!
Thanks Brooke!
I've heard roughly the same - Vitals are almost always inlcuded and it varies depending on the semester and/or campus. More curious on the timing. I know most of my questions will be answered on Wednesday, but after a 2 year wait these last few days and weeks seem to be creeping by.

You use the Evolve case studies in level 4, for management. I think they might also be part of the remediation plan if you don't score over 800 on the exit HESI, but I'm not sure about that. When I finally accessed them, I realized I should've been using them to study all along; they were great for applying knowledge.
