Hi pre-nursing students!
So I know it's extremely early but I figured I'd go ahead and start a thread for Spring 2020 applicants. I'm a huge worry bug and have tons of questions and would love to give and receive advice throughout this process. I'm completing my last two prerequisites this spring and will be applying when the application opens on May 15th! Tell me about your journey and ask questions about mine!

I’m registered for 2 other classes that will go towards my bachelors degree later on just to take advantage of the semester. I’m not sure if this is a good idea or if I’m the only one. Thoughts?
I'm taking 2 classes too that will go towards my bachelors this semester. Idk if it's a good idea but I'm registered so I'll have to stick it out. I wasn't sure that I'd get to take nursing skills and didn't want to sit around doing nothing for a semester.
Hi guys,
I am starting skills at the end of September and I know some will be starting skills this month. If yall have gotten ur syllabus and happen to be taking McKinney, could u give a heads up on the textbook required? & maybe anything else that stands out at you. Thanks! And best of luck!

What classes are you taking?

Hey I know it's been a little bit since you posted this but I'm in the fall 2019 class and we just had orientation. Classes are mostly in mornings. Clinicals depend on your sites and are two days a week. Clinicals can be any time Wednesday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure every class uses the same textbook. Fundamentals of Nursing, ninth edition.
Do you guys know what exactly we are supposed to do with the evolve access code? I’ve redeemed it and such but I’m just confused on what the actual homework is, if any. All of my access code has is like a few answer key documents , a case study, and a review? I’m doing the learning guide that I got from black board but I’m just confused on what to do on elove?

The other poster who is in fall 2019 said we didn’t need the code access? I don’t see anywhere in the syllabus where we would use it for class work. I bought my book used so I don’t have a code at all.

ACC has some of the worst advising I’ve ever encountered! They told me I’d need all my classes from my bachelors degree to get my ADN.
This group is so helpful. It’s making me have hope for no catty classmates! We’re all in this together, friends ?
