Austin Community College ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hi pre-nursing students!

So I know it's extremely early but I figured I'd go ahead and start a thread for Spring 2020 applicants. I'm a huge worry bug and have tons of questions and would love to give and receive advice throughout this process. I'm completing my last two prerequisites this spring and will be applying when the application opens on May 15th! Tell me about your journey and ask questions about mine!

Maybe they are opening more skills classes to allow ppl to take it and pass even if they arent getting into the program this round so they'll be ready to go when they reapply? Ugh I don't even know anymore ??‍♀️??‍♀️

If theres so many people applying why did they push the application deadline to August? I thought it was because they didn't have enough applicants so they added more hesi dates and pushed the app dealing

@shb6 I’ve seen/heard it both way. I heard they pushed it back because there wasn’t enough people. But I also heard they pushed it back because people didn’t have enough time to take the HESI. I’ve been curious about all of that.

??? I know! I am glad I am not alone in over analyzing every little detail of whats happening!

Lela from the ADN program told me they extended the deadline so people could finish summer classes.

This, oddly, makes me feel way more settled than the other things I heard. ?

I'm finishing my summer class and was told to apply before the deadline was extended. I actually made the original deadline and got in on the first round of petitions.

THAT is something the website certainly doesn't tell you.

Definitely! I am finishing a co-requisite so I really want that added to my ranking score.

She’s a really nice person, she helped me get my AP scores from 2006 so I didn’t have to take English again. I really hope the rest of the faculty and staff are as nice as she is!!

If I applied on July 19th do you guys think that’ll give me a good chance of getting in the next petition round??

GUYSSSS, we are so close to the second round of petitions!!!

Hi, I just finished my RNSG 1105 class last week and it went by so fast. I reapply for spring 2020 because I did not get accepted for fall 2019 and I'm glad that I didn't get accepted because I was not ready at all, I realized that when I'm already at the RNSG class, because I had a hard time in the beginning but our professors at RR are very helpful and kind that I was able to overcome my anxiety when it comes to check-offs. not only I pass the class I also got an A. so Goodluck to you guys that are about to start the RNSG. The only advice I have is "OPEN LAB".. any questions let me know.
