Austin Community College (ACC) - Fall 2010 Hopefuls

I'm a Fall 2010 applicant at ACC and thought it would be nice for all the Fall 2010 hopefuls to have our own thread to share exciting news, information, and support with each other.

I turned in my application last Friday (Dec. 18th) after taking the HESI exam. I feel good about my scores but I anticipate competition for the Fall spots is going to be quite fierce. After that large applicant pool for Spring I think we will see a lot of re-applicants applying with the 5 extra re-application points. Not sure what that will mean for the ranking scores but it will be interesting to see . . .

hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knows a good place to get a physical? I dont have insurance or a doctor here in Austin. I looked up some of those clinic places and ProMed offers school physicals for $49, I'm guessing a place like this would be acceptable for ACC? Also, could I get a TB test at the health dept or would I need a dr appt? Thanks for any info ya'll :)

@texascna06 I don't see why that wouldn't be acceptable. It's a Dr!

I say go for for ProMed. I got some immunizations at the city department. google: Big Shots City of Austin

Hey, guys -- here is a link to the group. I changed the settings so people can request an invite from the link, and I can approve it from there. :) I don't want anyone having to stress about getting posts and PMing and whatnot!

Hey everyone! Occurred to me today to go ahead and register, since I've been following the forum for a while now :) I just got my acceptance for Fall 2010 as well, I'm pretty sure I did the same happy dance ya'll did.

@RADIATIONRN2BE - I think we will hear which location option we get when we get th enext email that is suppose to be sent on June 4th. Everyone needed to respond by June 1 with there request.

I really wish they had let us specify a second choice for a campus as well as our first choice. Getting on-site EVC or CEC wouldn't be a big deal for me, but on-site RR would be a massive headache. I'm hoping a lot of people want that one and I won't get stuck there. ;)
