Here we go, new thread for the people who weren't able to get in the Spring 2014.
Seems like every semester the number of people admitted to the course is dropping.
2013 Spring - Admitted 127
2013 Fall - Admitted 117
2014 Spring - Admitted 111
Couple of years ago they were admitting 160 students a semester, so this is a disturbing trend for us who are waiting to get in to the course.
Once you are in the nursing program, you need to wear ACC teal scrubs with patch to clinicals.
Dress code can vary for lab days and open lab depending on the campus. At CEC, we wore street clothes on lecture days and ACC teal scrubs on lab days. CEC is different because they require ACC teal scrubs for open lab as well.
Check with your specific campus for open lab dress code--for example, EVC isn't too picky about open lab attire as long as you wear closed-toe shoes.
Congratulations to all incoming Level 1's! You'll love the ACC nursing program :)
One more thing: as of the Spring 2014 handbook, nursing students can wear (mostly) solid white, black, or grey shoes with the ACC teal scrubs. But please check your current handbook for updated requirements. According to the ADN homepage, the Fall 2014 handbook will be available after July 15.
That brings me to another point--if you're in the program, check the ADN homepage, your ACC email, and Blackboard DAILY. You will miss a ton of important info if you don't check these resources.
Congratulations!
Did you apply for the traditional or mobility? The mobility letters are due today.
In a strange turn of events.....I got an acceptance letter last night!!! I had previously thought I wasn't getting in since I hadn't received a letter, but now that's all changed. I'm so excited!!
