Finally got my insurance! Now I have everything in and am just waiting. It has been a long ride to get here. Thursday is right around the corner.

I got my blue card from the BON today, didn't think I would have one send as I didn't submit prints. Cool.

I just got it today! You registered yet? It's only 30 of us.

I was told that if your an LVN already you skip that step.

Wow...those next steps are alot! I'm going to have to make a detailed schedule for myself!

The mobility program is only at Eastview. Round Rock would have been nice though, closer to me.

In a nursing home I worked at 10 years ago, I had one of "those" situations. There were three units, I usually works unit one. One of my patients was a type 1 diabetic. When she was well she didn't monitor her bs regularly. One day while returning home to her apartment with her bf, she passed out from hypoglycemia while walking up concrete stairs. She never regained consciousness. Sad story. Her boyfriend would visit pretty often but would only sit with her a few moments then leave. One day, as I was pulled to unit 2, I figured out why he only visited a few moments. I walked into a patient's room and found the boyfriend in bed with that patient! Wow...

For those of us applying for the mobility program, the rankings just came out today with the acceptance letters due on the 20th. Fingers crossed!

I didn't receive anything for the traditional track. I applied for both the traditional and mobility track so I got a call a couple weeks ago asking which one I wanted and I (of course) said mobility. She said those will came out in a week or so. Keeping my fingers crossed! BTW...my ranking number is 58.3.

For those who received acceptance letters, if you don't mind, what was your rating scores?

The Dept of Health does immunizations, that's where I had one done. I don't know about physicals. Maybe a sliding scale med clinic? As for the shot record, can you get your hands on the one from childhood? Your doctor can do blood titers to check immunization status if not. The hap vac takes like 6 months or so.
