Augusta University BSN Fall 2018 Cohort

Hi, guys! I have applied to Augusta University's BSN program-Athens Campus for the Fall of 2018 and wanted to start a thread to compare stats and experiences with the application process. Comment below if you are planning on applying or already have applied! I mainly am just so eager to find out if I got in or not. Fingers crossed!

I had decided to not apply because I didn't think I had a chance but had started my application. I recieved an email that they opened up the application again for people who had started the application. I'm retaking my teas to try to get in but does anyone know why they did this or if they do it every year? I'm not complaining lol but I haven't seen anyone else talk about it.

I know that a lot of people apply to schools and don't meet the minimum requirements, so that could be the case. But I'm sure they what to give anyone a chance so they're willing to look at every student possible.

For everyone who has gotten in: when you checked your application status did it have a campus specified under the campus part? I'm trying to figure out if they just put everyone's first choice as the campus or if it means I got in to that campus. Thanks!

I haven't heard anything yet but GXMbob mine changed to ready to review around that time as well so hopefully the next couple weeks we'll both hear something because I'm so ready to know!!! That's weird they opened up applications I wonder if it's because people didn't meet the requirements or there weren't enough applicants??

Is anyone else interviewing for the accelerated program? Mine is on the 15th.

I thought it was weird too! And it was just for the applicants who had started but not finished. But I'm not sure if it was because people didn't meet the requirements because I had only sent recommendation letters and nothing else in like any of my scores yet. but I'm really glad they opened it up because I have another chance. Good luck!!

Apparently they have done that in the years prior because they want to make sure that they are accepting the most competitive applicants possible. I think there is a possibility that the majority of applicants are average or below average, so they probably just want to see as many apps as possible! Also, I think that the campus on the applicant status page is just the campus you applied for originally, but I am not completely sure. I just know that my status page said "Athens Campus" way before I was ever actually accepted.

I just hope I have a shot. Augusta is a great school and really wanna be a nurse :) hopefully we all get accepted!
