Augusta University BSN Fall 2018 Cohort

Hi, guys! I have applied to Augusta University's BSN program-Athens Campus for the Fall of 2018 and wanted to start a thread to compare stats and experiences with the application process. Comment below if you are planning on applying or already have applied! I mainly am just so eager to find out if I got in or not. Fingers crossed!

Hey y'all I just checked my application status and mine STILL says ready for review... but my campus changed to main campus. I'm kinda bummed because I really wanted Athens so I guess all the spots are filled there. I'm even more worried now because mine still doesn't say decision made and some of y'all's changed... ugh. I feel like my stats are pretty good, but I don't know at this point.

Mine also changed to main campus (although I don't know how long it's been like that given I just checked after you mentioned yours changing). I hope that doesn't mean that all of the Athens spots are full, though, that'd be a real bummer. I was hoping for the Athens campus because it's way closer to home for me (1.5 hour drive as opposed to a 3 hour drive to their Augusta campus) but I do understand that the Athens campus is significantly smaller. I told them I'd be fine with either campus cause obviously I'd rather get in to nursing school at their main campus than not get in at all, but had listed Athens as my first choice.

I would think there is still a chance to be admitted. Just because someone is offered a spot, doesn't mean they will take it if they are admitted to another program. That takes time and when all the dust settles, there will be additional spots, so keep you chin up. Maybe it is a good thing that the campus changed to Augusta, since there are more spots there.

You're probably right or I hope you're right lol. I don't know like I have a 3.7 GPA and a 84 on the TEAS. They're not like super amazing or anything but I feel like I should've at least heard something by now. I'm not gonna completely panic that I didn't get in yet, but I'm a little worried. I kinda wanna call just to ask if all the spots at Athens are full and that's why they changed mine to main campus!

If you do call and ask, let us know! I'm curious if all the spots have been filled too! But GXMbob is right, just because someone is accepted to the program doesn't necessarily mean that they'll go there!

I tried to call but no one answered so I'm not sure. I just pray I at least get into main campus or wait-listed to Athens or something haha

Ugh I wish you could've gotten a hold of someone! Every time I call they forward me over to the nursing people but they never pick up :(

The nursing department never answers and I when I speak to admissions, they have no clue what to tell me. It's really frustrating.

Oh wow, I didn't realize they changed the campus like that. I know so many people that haven't heard back that absolutely cannot go to the Augusta campus because they live in Athens. I wonder if everyone's changed like that!
