Hi, guys! I have applied to Augusta University's BSN program-Athens Campus for the Fall of 2018 and wanted to start a thread to compare stats and experiences with the application process. Comment below if you are planning on applying or already have applied! I mainly am just so eager to find out if I got in or not. Fingers crossed!
I don't live in Athens, however it is closer for me than Augusta. I feel like maybe they changed people's who don't live there or base it on how high their stats are to main campus. Maybe the people who live there's didn't change. I hope they have one more round of notifications coming out because I'm super scared I've already been denied/wait-listed.
I'm just very confused about yours, jansenrenee22, becaue our stats are pretty similar. However, I'm not sure what your clinical experience is. Perhaps they just accepted me so soon because I've worked in a clinical setting for a while or they liked something about my essay, I'm really not sure. I guess it also depends on references, which I guess none of us were able to see.
I took some of my classes at a technical college. I'm not sure if they look down on that or not. That would kind of suck if they did because I worked so hard for A's in all my sciences, I mean I studied like everyday. I'm not going to assume anything just yet. I haven't even gotten an official letter saying I'm denied or waitlisted so I'm just gonna try and be positive!
I've gotten an answering machine every time I've tried to contact Sara! It is super frustrating! It's the same song and dance every time I call: admissions answers, asks a few questions, transfers me over to the nursing director, no answer, repeat. I just want a little bit of information because I feel completely in the dark! Trying to pull some strings with some of my coworkers who attended Augusta and know Sarah personally haha
Yeah I put that as my first choice, because I know the main campus holds more spots than Athens. I mean going to Athens would be more convenient and close to home but if it means a greater chance of going to nursing school requires going farther from home, I'm okay with that. Good luck to yall. I really hope we all get in so I can meet you all :)
