Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Does anybody know if books are going to be roughly 1500$ every semester or just the first semester? I know they said $900 in books for the first semester but its not true I added up all the prices of these books.

I understand clown makeup but seriously what does foundation have to do with healthcare? Plus every hospital I've been in I've seen nurses with makeup on. No eyeliner or lipstick or mascara but I'm wearing my foundation darnit

I love wearing makeup so I'll definitely be wearing it. I didn't hear them say completely no makeup allowed I'm good on that. Just a little tinted moisturizer and powder couldn't hurt anyone, it's just makeup geesh!

I wish each campus had the same exact rules for everything. I would make it easier for everyone.

So I just came from south campus bookstore to buy more scrubs and they told me that there will be new ones next week! That they are doing some changes to the scrubs. So new scrubs! I am going to have to return the scrubs I already bought!

Just received an email from the North campus Dean. Can't open the attachments on my phone though and I'm trying to forward it to my work email but the signal around here sucks!!! Did anyone else get the email? What are the attachment?

Financial Aid is finally there thank goodness! Classes are paid for but we have to wait til August 10th to go to the bookstore. Wanted the hardcopy book sooner :no:

What!! Is that why they sold them so cheap? I wont be buying any new scrubs because they should have told us this at the book store. Im officially ******! Central better not through this on us. Hmph!
