Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Hope mine is paid soon.. Ugh I don't want to be dropped :nailbiting:

u wont dont worry. i did my fafsa in Jan so I was SUPER EARLY.

Ok good! I started mine in January and forgot to finish lol didn't remember to finish it until like March...

How much can you do with your Pell Grant? Mine couldn't cover half the cost of my classes.

So I just came from south campus bookstore to buy more scrubs and they told me that there will be new ones next week! That they are doing some changes to the scrubs. So new scrubs! I am going to have to return the scrubs I already bought!

Does the ones you already bought have the circle emblem? Those are the old ones.. The new ones say something about Associate Nursing Degree without the circle.

Everyone,

I have 2 pair of scrub pants that I will be selling. Size : x-small they are BRAND NEW! I got them when they were half off... if you missed out on the sale and need this size let me know. :-)

It depends on whether you got the full grant and your income level based on taxes etc. Because I did mine early I got the pell plus another 600 in additional grant money. The earlier you do the Fafsa the better you come out

How do you know if it's the full pell grant?

How do you know if it's the full pell grant?

All that info can be found at Fafsa.gov but full Pell is typically 5500. They split that in two semesters so u would have roughly 2250 for the semester plus any other grants or student loans

Pell grant for a year=5,730.00.

Pell grant for a year=5,730.00.

So it's more than previous years which is awesome, but like I said it varies depending on what u qualify for

If u guys got less I'd go to financial aid and see if they have any of those emergency funds they spoke about at the preadmission meeting. U never know. School is tough enough without having the stress of paying for classes and these ridiculous book prices
