Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I know the feeling.. I guess I'll keep just one of them.

Hi,

Mandaa: thanks for the info!!

olkan: I have micro until August.

What kind of Job are you doing? I am thinking of getting a new job while in the program? I hope it's feasable

I am planning on working once a week for the first semester. Once I get a hang of it, I'll decide if I can fit more days in my schedule.

Does it matter if I purchase my uniforms from Central even though I'm going to North? At work right now and I'm planning on going over to the school on my lunch break to purchase them; hope the sale is still on.

Can I try them on? I'm a tall female (5'9") and I'd like to see how they fit lol hope they don't mind.

You're quiet tall; I am 5'7.. You can get them anywhere. I prefer the pants with the string than the one with the elastic waist.. I'll be wearing polo and jeans most of the time, anyway...

Yeah I am pretty tall lol. I didn't know we could wear jeans.

I heard we must be in full uniform for clinical.. As far as lecture or anything beside clinical, we can be in polo with any pants..

Can we wear jeans with either white or blue polos?

Just left Central. I bought 2 tops and 2 bottoms, couldn't find any small polos. Gonna try North when I get off work. I only saw blue polos at Central hope North has them and I'll get one blue and one white.

I didn't know they had a fitting room, got to try them on. They run pretty big, thought I'd need a medium but they were huge lol

Yeah, I heard we can wear polo with any pants on non-clinical days..

They are very big, especially the bottoms.. At first I picked up small tops and bottoms.. I exchanged them for XS tops and XXS bottoms...
