Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Is there a deadline for the certificates?

U will have to have them before the actual admission session. this one is just pre-admission

Okay, thanks.. Can you post a list of all the things that we must have before the actual orientation? I am so confused..

For Pre-admission orientation we dont need anything per say, the meeting is actually going to be telling us everything we will need. Look over your acceptance email again.

For actual admission we need to have all our CEU's done (make two copies to be safe)

Background Check

Fingerprinting

Physical Exam

Immunizations

Anything outside of this,im sure they will tell us.

I will be attending south. I love South Campus! All of my friends are in the program there and they said it’s tough but after the first semester you know what is expected and will feel a bit more relieved.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. Hopefully its not as horrible as what I've heard.

Thanks, I don't have to rush.. As far as the orientation, what should we wear?

i dont think there's a dress code this time around since i didnt see it mentioned in the email. when in doubt just dress comfy

As far as the Physical where do we get the required forms (if any)

U can find them on the nursing page but i think they will hand those out next Monday though

Yikes! Is it just me or does anyone else can never get a hold of someone while dialing the Health Sciences Admissions numbers.

I completed three of the certificates at ceufast.com. I just realized that they don't offer cpr.. What should I do?

Are these in addition to the HCP course course??

Does anyone have an idea of the cost for books, supplies and tuition for fall?

I was given a recommended list today at the north book store and it is $1744.00 (that does not include tuition)
