Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Correct.. I just have CPR left because ceufast doesn't offer it.. HCP is out of the equation because I wouldn't be pre-admitted without it...

I did my HCP course with Sheridan and the CPR and BLS is part of the class. I didn't realize that it was not like that for those who took the course with Broward.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost for books, supplies and tuition for fall?

I was given a recommended list today at the north book store and it is $1744.00 (that does not include tuition)

That is not for just one semester though. Check page 51 of this chat.... :-)

How long will the classes last? Will they last longer than normal classes, which is 75 minutes..? Anyone knows?

This preadmissions, the dress code meeting doesn't matter. I think the meeting right before the program starts, there is a dress code. I did not get that far last semester before I deferred. Here is the emails we received after the orientation so you guys can start working on the documents.

I wont be able to attend the orientation on Monday because I am out of the country. Can somebody please keep me updated with what they say at the orientation please.

I thought that you had to attend the pre-admissions meeting as well, last semester I couldnt attend due to work related issues and I was told that my seat had been giving to the next eligible canadiate and that I would be put in the pool for August...please look into this.

i was taking classes then i dropped them because i want to just prepare for nursing school. plus i started a new job and the stress was piling on. you'd have to just go with your energy and stress levels, compare and go from there i guess
