Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
I've been looking at a lot of Youtube videos as well, lol. So far I have two books from the library. One is called Math for nurses and the other one is an introduction to pharmacology. The Fundamentals of Nursing Perry and Potter 8th edition PDF was actually posted on this thread. I've already read the first chapter of that (well kind of). Who will be attending south campus? Hit me up. My orientation is Monday at 1pm.
I want to purchase the Saunders Comprehensive Review (NCLEX) it's a great book to help answer exam questions. Any NCLEX review would be helpful but I've heard MANY great things about the Saunders. I need as many tools as possible to help me. I'm shooting for A's on our exams and it is definitely possible if we apply ourselves :)
