Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Waiting to see if we hear anything this week. Fingers crossed.

I noticed that the August 2013 class started getting acceptance letters June 11th fingers crossed

To everyone who gets in, congrats and for others who may not, never give up. I pray we ALL get accepted and we ALL continue to be supportive of one another. I've been so busy at work, I haven't had time to obsess as much but I check my BC email and status all day before work....so maybe a little obsessive lol. Good Luck everyone!!!

I spoke with the Health Sciences department. What does your status say. Mine still days "Denied, requirements not met". I called today to ask why and the lady told me that they are still in the process of making sure everyone requirements are met.

I am glad that you asked me this... I didn't think to check since it was denied before.... However, now it is updated to :Pending Documentation

Sheridan is a good tech school but how long is the course there because you only have three more weeks to go in June. The Core @ BC is an 8 weeks class, all you have to do is attend the classes, highlight what necessary,read, take the tests, do your demo, and ur done. And, we don't have a Facebook page yet for Aug 2014, but I think we'll launch one once we got admitted.

It is online so some of it seems to be 'work at your own pace'....I am going to finish faster than the expected deadline so I can get my certification letter to Broward by the end of June. Broward told me to bring my certificate in once I get it.

It was 3 weeks online. 3 classes in person. It was a great way to get the class done. The college took my application and I brought the certificate after.

Even though my status says 'Application In Review' I still have a red 'X' next to HESI Exam where it ask if requirement met. I passed all the sections of the exam, does anyone else have the red 'X'? I hope it change soon, it makes me nervous!:nailbiting:

Maybe it's because you turned in your Hesi scores late. Since your application is in review, you should be fine. They would not review your application without hesi scores... So, grab a cup of coffee and calm down..

Just got of the phone with North Campus and I was told that emails will be going out today. Today is the day folks. Keep checking your emails by this afternoon we should know for sure. Good luck to all of us.

Wow! I am surprised that they are sending out letters already today. I wonder how long they will keep accepting students for since my status is "pending documentation" and it till take me at least a few weeks to get the certificate for the HCP course.
