Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Congrats!!! How was it?

Congrats!!! How was it?

It wasnt as hard as I thought but they did throw a couple curve balls. I just prayed did process of elimination and did my best and it was good enough. I couldnt stick around to hand the papers to Nicole so I saw her and told her Id put it in the dropbox and that was it!!! I feel sooooo much better now. Thanks to Rose as well. We met up and studied for two hours before.

9 points ! I'm so impatient I just want to know already!

How are the points calculated? I have way less points than what im seeing and now im terrified once again

According to GPA.. 4.0 - 16 points.. 3.9 - 15 points... 3.8 - 14 points... 3.7 - 13 points.. And so on...

Yayyyy congrats!! Went in today and paid the $60 and scheduled for Saturday. I'm super nervous, I hope I pass.

Application in Review!!

I forget if someone linked it here before, but this is the workbook that needs to be done for math: webhome.broward.edu/~gbrickma/math.htm (the Workbook A link)

Familiarize yourself with the math, because it's just gonna be a pain to learn it with this prof(it's mad simple though, just refresh yourself on conversions and memorize conversion factors).

That site has loads of other forms you'll need to print out at some point, give 'em a look over.

Hi everyone, I have been reading the forum for awhile now and I finally decided to join. I turned in my application on Tuesday and it says "Application in Review"! Excited and nervous at the same time. Good luck to us all!

welcome RN2B, were all biting our nails together!

Thanks nursejackiern12b.

For those keeping up with the May '14 reading list, here's a doc that will help with what to focus on in each section. I know trying to read everything in a chapter without any sort of direction gets booooring after a while.

Refer to the calendar and reading list I posted earlier to know where my class is(today we're at 1.1). Then basically try to learn about each objective even if it's just a little(let's say, enough to summarize each number point). You'll come in very well prepared for the lectures, since the power points follow the objectives exactly.
