August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Hi guys

I have been reading all your comments and they are super helpful. I graduated from bc in 2008 w my AA.... But only now am i able to apply to the nursing program due to immigration problems. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I was preadmitted 6 years ago and attended one of the meetings where I realized we had to do CEU and be CPR certified now I am going to try to get it done beforehand. I wasnt happy when I found out we had to take a pre-nursing exam but I did ok.... I got a 90 overall. I think the reason most people dont do so well in the anatomy part is because they only use the hesi book to study... But really that should only be used as an outline. I used cliffnotes to study for anatomy.

Also for those who wanted to kno if we could take pham beforehand.... They used to allow it before but unfortunately they dont anymore. Well my gpa is 3.0 and i was preadmitted 6 years ago and for the may 2014 i just defered to start w my sis in august so i think most of u should be fine...Good luck to all of u!
