Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
[it's most likely going to be the same test you took. The anatomy section is so fast and wide since it covers both AP 1and 2. Good luck!
QUOTE=nursejackiern12b;7926406]For those who recently took the Hesi, was there any questions that stood out to you that you didnt know and had to look up? Im gonna retake this thing on Tuesday and im trying to read up on everything so i can pass it and be done. even more nervous now than before
Looks like I may have to defer my seat if I am accepted into the Fall program. This really sucks but I'm going through some financial issues at the moment and I know I won't be able to work full time in the program so I want to just work and save so I won't have to worry too much about bills while in the program. I'm so stressed right now, hope I'm making the right decision
Good luck everyone, I wish you all the best!! :)
What do you guys think about CNAs? Since I'll just be working for the rest of the year and deferring my seat until January, should I take the training to become a CNA? I'll have to find the money but do you think it'll be worth it? Would I be able to keep the job I have now and work as a CNA? Ughh, I don't know what to do, I need options.

Awe im sorry to heart that, but I know how you feel. I also contemplated waiting but ive been waiting so long for this, i HAVE to get it done. Ive heard many times that getting your CNA is a good tool to see how nurses work however I have some CNA friends that say this sometimes discourages nursing students because CNA's do the brunt of the 'dirty work". Other than that, if money issues are present now, it may put a strain on you to find the money to do it. I guess you have to go with your gut on this and do what will be the least stressful. I know you will make the best decision for you and wish you the best of luck with whatever you decided!
