Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

heyy thank you so much for sharing the link fr the Fundamental book. I think that was really sweet of you. I was wondering if you have one for the clinical? if yes will you be able to share with us please?

If i pay for the hesi tomorrow can i take it the same day or do i have to still schedule it? Really want to get it over with, lol

yes you can, that's what I did. I went to the cashier office @9:00 I paid the $60 then I went to the LRC asking them if I can take it they told me yes as long as they have a spot. Finally, I took it the same day, but you have to go there early.

I got that book with Fin. aid lol. If I come across an electronic copy I'll let you know, but I think you'll need a physical copy for clinicals. Not 100% sure yet though.

Im here now, i paid at 11 and am cramming as much as i can til 1. Wish me luck

Well, i passed everything with a 90 except for the Anatomy and Math 60% on each. Im soo disappointed right now. I didnt recognize most of the anatomy questions on the test and none of the practice questions were on the test. I have to find a way to figure this out by Monday so I can retake it.

I used the elsevier hesi assessment guide and its very similar to the exam.

thats the one i used too ans i crap you not, i may have gotten one question from the study guide. Luckily I downloaded the study packet the ihesi people provide to help you do better next time.

Try the Hesi Admission Assessment, third edition. It helped me a ton with the math and anatomy.

Sorry to hear about your exam, you'll definitely pass next time since you'll know what to expect @nursejackiern12b.

I haven't studied at all this week. Just getting back from Daytona, went to my best friends graduation. Now I'm really nervous about taking the exam next weekend :( I hear the exam is mostly the physiology part of Anatomy so maybe we should focus more on that.

You are AWESOME!! Thanks for taking the time out to give us much needed information :)

Haha no prob, I'll keep y'all updated with stuff whenever. People get so stressed about these things coming in, so I figured it'd be a big relief to have stuff to be prepared. We're all here for the same thing too, so I don't see the harm in breaking stuff down for the new peoples.
