Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
Olkan' if you keep going back and forth about starting and second guessing yourself maybe you should just defer till jan but I would do it as soon as possible.once you start and figure out you can't do it that would count against you if you fail or have to drop.if you already know in your heart there are more negatives then I would wait to start you will not give it your best.i deferred from last semester and it worked out better for me and it went by quick.do what's best for you
I was just about to ask the same thing...our orientation is soooo close to the start date which gives us no chance to read :-( I'm going to go to the bookstore to get the orientation package today...do you think it MAY have a reading list lol (I want a head start!)Does anyone have a reading schedule for South? Are we going to have to print the orientation packets and take to the orientation, or should we buy it from the bookstore?
I'd like to know that as well because I'll probably be wearing them most of the time so I don't have to worry about my hair in the mornings. It shouldn't be a probalem though, as long as we have it up in a bun off our collar.
Im thinking im gonna do the same thing but i braid my own hair and dont know if i want to go through the trouble, lol. Or the process of taking them out. When will i have the time?

I just sent you the email I got from central campus with the mandatory orientation information for NUR1020 and NUR1020L. The orientaion packet and syllabus you can get but we will have to meet up at the library and you can make copies.
