Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
LOL same here, I always dread the process of putting them in and taking them out. But, I'm currently transitioning to natural so having to wake up every morning to deal with two different textures is going to be H*LL and I can't deal with it, braid/rope twists will be my life in Nursing school lol
Exactly! I dont have time to do twist outs or anything especially with clinicals at 6:30am! I just want braids so my hair is one less thing to worry about. I just think if we have braids/twists we can't put any crazy colors, just black.

Yeah they said no crazy colors, not even highlights are allowed.

And i have no clue how they are going to regulate that. Highlights dont impact anything at all. Now if theyre green or another crazy color i understand. Plus Half the class has highlights, and they didnt mention it in our last orientation or syllabus so...
It was only mentioned in the pre-admission orientation, she said only colors you are born with or something along that line. But I think she was over exaggerating because highlights (blonde at least) shouldn't be a problem. And yes i've seen more than half the students with highlights lol
@nursejosie21 could you send me that email too i didn't receive one about the homework ... [email protected] thanks
