Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

OK, Thank you. I went Yesterday so I was wondering if I would have it back as early as say Tuesday so I can turn in my forms.

Probably. you can call them though and check the status. But they will def call u when its ready

Just completed everything at Drs.365 and feel very good that I was still immune to everything:roflmao:. I only paid $124 dollars for everything and am so glad i dont have to drive all the way up there again ( Reckless drivers). The only thing that i am missing is the flu shot which i will get Monday. I also went to South campus bookstore today and was told that we can buy our books August 10th. Financial aid will start on that day. Sighh of relief:saint:. Right now i am brushing up on my math skills. I heard we have to pass math in order to go to clinicals. At South campus I believe we only get two chances. Well anyways God is still good and will always be! I hope everybody is enjoying this break we have until our lifes will be over on August 25. Well, not over but you know what i mean.

I was told by everyone that the flu shot was not in season and that it wouldnt be offered until then :-/

Flu shot is at walgreens and the college knows that. .. They require it now because it is available now. I haven't found anyone else but walgreens that has it. It is like 35 if your insurance doesn't cover it.

Yep my friends already went to Walgreen's and got their flu shot!

Sorry $124 plus the physical. Also I had to pay another $12 for the PPD because I made a mistake and did not come back in 48 hours:banghead:. I hope you are immune to everything too. Cant wait to turn everything in.

I was told we didnt need the flu shot yet because we require the seasonal flu shot and its not in season yet. so what flu shot does walgreens have and why did they tell us to wait then?

They do have it. It is the seasonal flu shot. .. They just got the first shipment... different supplier. If it is available you have to have it or you will be dropped from your classes according to the emails sent out. I wouldn't fight that. .. Just get it done

Not fighting it just was told to wait until the Hospitals require it which is Sep 15th. I just got it done after reading on here. Luckily my insurance covered it 100%. Dont want the hassle later anyway

I am looking at the Potter and Perry fundamentals of nursing on Amazon for $108 and $89 for the clinical. Do you guys know any other places where I can get them cheaper? I really want to rent them and save a fortune. I know I will have to write and take notes on the book, so buying would be the best option.

I got my Perry and potter book on amazon used for 77 bucks. But you can try checking chegg, or abebooks.com

5 more days to turn in all documents guys. Lets get er done

Are you going to North? I remember it's August 15th.
