Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

No, but I want to so I can get a head start. Everyone's talking about homework, do students for South campus have homework?

Me too. I think the people who already went to orientation at the other campuses are the ones with homework. We probably won't get ours until after orientation.

Perry and potter fundamentals of nursing 8th edition

OK, thanks..

Do you guys think it will be possible to work three days a week during the program? If I work less than that, I would have to catch the bus to school.

Can anyone that went to Doctors365 tell me how long it took to get the results from their titers back?

Regarding working or not during the program, I'll say it depends on your dedication, your financials, and what you wanna do after nursing school. If you wanna go to a graduate school after your BSN for either CRNA, NP,or midwifery, you have to make some sacrifices because those schools want you to have a certain GPA to get in. For instance, to get into a CRNA or NP school you need 3.5 and up, for midwife it's 3.0 and up. It is very very competitive out there.

@ LegacyJS: I got your PM but I do not have PM capability yet. If you still want the info you asked me about you can email me at [email protected]

OK, Thank you. I went Yesterday so I was wondering if I would have it back as early as say Tuesday so I can turn in my forms.

Anything is possible. Some people work full time but its also about time management too. We will have to learn that during nursing school anyway, but its totally up to you. Maybe try and work the three days and see how it goes, if its too much then you know what you have to do. But with clinicals you dont want to rely on the bus. I foresee car pools being a smart idea when we get to that point

Thanks guys. I think I'll quit my job and hope to balanced things out for the second semester. I think the first semester will be very tough.

Just completed everything at Drs.365 and feel very good that I was still immune to everything:roflmao:. I only paid $124 dollars for everything and am so glad i dont have to drive all the way up there again ( Reckless drivers). The only thing that i am missing is the flu shot which i will get Monday. I also went to South campus bookstore today and was told that we can buy our books August 10th. Financial aid will start on that day. Sighh of relief:saint:. Right now i am brushing up on my math skills. I heard we have to pass math in order to go to clinicals. At South campus I believe we only get two chances. Well anyways God is still good and will always be! I hope everybody is enjoying this break we have until our lifes will be over on August 25. Well, not over but you know what i mean.

Only $124...Ohhhh Im jealous! lol I'm sure hoping I'm still Immune to everything too my titers go that well also.
