Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
I can forward it to you if you like. Just send me your email.
You don't have to pay back the hospital for the scholarship money they paid for you. You sign an agreement/ contract that you will work for them for about 2 years. When you are working with them, you get paid just like any nurse. However, if you don't wish to work for them, you will have to make arrangements to pay back the money they paid for your tuition/ fees. A scholarship can be good because at least you'll have a job secured when you leave school. The hospital scholarship, as well as the others on BC site, government loans (since they have the lowest interest rates) and the emergency funding from BC are all options you can consider. Don't give up.

The girl who told you that there is 12 and 13 chapters on each test is 100 percent right. On our first test at central campus we had 12 chapters, our second and third test were both 13 chapters a piece and our final exam was on all of those chapters combined with only 50 questions on each test. I don't believe it was her intention to scare you at all but to simply give everyone a little insight on how it is going to be. The chapters are long and very boring but if you manage your time right you will get everything done you just won't have time for anything else but school.
I sent it! The second email is just the update where the Dean tells us the dress code
