August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Am I the only one so excited for the May term starting today?! Lol you would think I'm starting with them. This just makes me even more excited about the August term!! I'm an emotional rollercoaster (excited, nervous) Ughh I can't wait :nailbiting::roflmao::)

Lol, im excited for them too!!! Whatever we learn from them, will surely help us when its our turn in a couple months!!! Have you decided what day your taking your hesi yet? Im sooooo nervous about it. Between my evolve book, the eselvier and quizlet, im a little overwhelmed.

Hello Everyone ...I've been lurking around this website for a while now trying to get all the info i can about this crazy journey were starting!! I applied for August term two months ago and was told "mid-may" they would begin reviewing applications. I've been checking everyday like a crazy person!! lol I did some pre-reqs at keiser and finished the last few (micro, chem & chem leb, etc.) at central campus. I did my core at sheridan tech and scored an overall of 92% on hesi. My "overall" GPA is a 3.01 and I am soooo nervous about that! But I am not sure which GPA they look at. :nailbiting: does anyone have any info on when they will start accepting people??

Welcome! I was told they will start evaluating the applications around the third week of May. Theyre is also called your overall gpa and your program gpa. The program gpa is usually higher, but not to worry, you should be fine

Welcome! I was told they will start evaluating the applications around the third week of May. Theyre is also called your overall gpa and your program gpa. The program gpa is usually higher, but not to worry, you should be fine

Thank u! OK so at least that's the same info I got. I saw you will be taking your hesi soon, Goodluck! It's not as bad as it seems! Just make sure you don't drink a lot before taking it cause they don't let u out of the room even for the bathroom!

Hello:).. They look at the program gpa ENC1101, A&P 1 and 2 with labs (I think a math as well).. Don't worry I think you'll be fine!!

They look at ur a&ps and enc1101 gpa. They said they'll send the letters by june15.

Checked my application status and everything has a check except the HESI, just makes me want to leave work and run over to the school and take the exam already LOL

I saw a professors blog that had all the reading required, but remember summer term is shorter so they have alot more reading than we will. I will PM you the site in a few
