Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

My advice would be to retake the one with the lowest score if you want but I think you should be ok.

I got a 76% on anatomy.. is there anything you would recommend in studying for it?

Go on quizletanatomyhesia2 and study there that's where I went before i took the test and it was very helpful..

Turned in my application yesterday. She also told me not to worry about my GPA and to just bring in my HESI scores after i take the exam. One step closer to our dreams :)

Where do we go to see the status of our application?

Hello everybody!

I turned in my application this passed Monday and I have to say I'm VERY VERY concerned! My GPA is 2.9 and I got a 86% overall. Am I **** out of luck? or do I have a chance? and also what do you think about retaking the section I got my lowest score on?

Best of luck to all of you!

Hello!! Another potential nursing student with a 2.9 GPA here I'd also recommend quizlet to review. And the evolve review book but quizlet should probably suffice , they have alot of information on there. Good luck!

Hey guys I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I did all of my pre-reqs at BC central I was suppose to apply last year for fall term but due to my fear of not getting accepted because of my low GPA I decided to go to a private college instead (which was a terrible mistake). Anyways I realized I have to finish what I started at do my best to get into BC's nursing program because it's really all I have left! I too have been lurking on these threads for a while now. I hope to retake my hesi soon, apply for the fall term and hear good news!!! I look forward to communicating with everyone and staying sane throughout this hectic journey!

Welcome Rosegold_! Were all here to support each other through this stressful time and happy you're here. I took all my pre-reqs at Central too. We may have had classes together and not even known it, lol. I just decided to take my hesi earlier than planned next Wed or Thursday and am studying the vocab terms and anatomy section of the study guide. If you have any tips on what helped you the first time around, feel free to share!

Thank you for the warm welcoming! And you are totally right we probably have taken courses together and not know it lol To answer your question about the hesi I only used the Admission Assessment book which was extremely helpful to me except for the anatomy section. But as I've read many people said they used quizlet for the anatomy part I plan on doing that as well since it has worked in the past hopefully it works for me *fingers crossed

Am I the only one so excited for the May term starting today?! Lol you would think I'm starting with them. This just makes me even more excited about the August term!! I'm an emotional rollercoaster (excited, nervous) Ughh I can't wait :nailbiting::roflmao::)

I am also excited for them, but the real thing is that those people are just about to start the evaluation process and that in three weeks from now they will start sending the letters and that makes me really really nervous.
