hi, anyone of you here joined the open house today and was able to fill in an application? after filling out, they gave me this envelope with some papers about the pharm bok review, etc.. as i was reading it, it says, we'll gonna have ourselves scheduled for the pharm exam.
QUESTION:
do we have to wait a call from them (if chosen)?
this does not guarantee that you are hired right?
please enlighten me..thanks =)
goodluck to us =)
I was called and offered a position a couple days ago for part time nights. Unfortunately I have to take a different full time offer as that only makes financial sense. And the other job didn't leave me waiting for weeks. they met me, they liked me, and they got the ball rolling right away.
I understand the nursing departments are busy, but this whole process was somewhat ridiculous. Especially for those they rejected after trailing along with hopes for close to a month.
I'm beginning to wonder, do people in other professions face such a difficult and tortuous hiring process where they basically have to get on their hands and knees and beg for a job? If I didn't love practicing nursing I think I might be well on my way to another career where I feel more respected and valued.
Oh well, hopefully this feeling will change the more experience I gain.
NYNURSEEMILY,
I have a question the part time position, did they say how many hours a week that position would have included minimum per week?
And I completely agree with you this process is too long to just be letting people wait to be rejected. Had I known this would of been as long as it has been I would of kept going to my interviews earlier. Well I am back on the interview trail, most other places don't have you waiting so long to employ you if they want you. Just would of been nice to get this place since its only 5 minutes away from my house.
NYNURSEEMILY congrats on your job offer and I wish you the best!!!
