If you are the recipient of, or know a nurse who is the recipient of unreasonable 'fitness for duty' refrained from practice referrals as the result of retaliation or vague 'complaints' from fellow nurses or case managers, please private message me. There are three of us thus far, I'm looking to lobby for some change.
Thanks,

Keep the questions coming, it never hurts to ask:
Recent example: If you have had lie detector tests as a part of your evaluations, after false accusations, contact me through PM.
Don't let these nuts ask you to prove a negative with junk science. They need to use real science and the results will reflect the truth.
Lie detectors tests no longer hold water with the criminal justice system. How the hell are they a legitimate medical diagnostic tool? (Psst...they aren’t)
If these people are selecting evaluators (why do they select who we see, anyway?) that use this kind of debunked garbage then they are complicit in the abuse.

I had to shake my head when I heard this one. We aren't in jail anyway, but they use the fear of unemployment.

i just finished late this past summer. I finally have my life back after nearly 6 years. I can have an adult beverage should I so desire and nobody is draining my bank account for junk testing and I don’t live in fear anymore. The anxiety and depression meds have been scaled wayyyyyy back and my ulcer is much better.
At the moment I am dealing with a shattered wrist from a fall (at work no less) and as we all know, broken bones hurt. Like. Hell. Needless to say I can only shudder at how IPN would torture me over the need for pain control, surgery, specialists and worker’s compensation wanting me to work (light duty only) and those idiots sticking their beak into this mess, claiming that I can’t unless I eschew pain control.
I have figured that little me can’t change the system but I can help guide people through this journey. I can be a source of information, since IPN does not do a darn thing towards actual advocacy ( why would they? especially if the alternative is some quack making bank off of us,) and I can help people defend themselves against thier abuse. So much of the crap they pull is questionably legal and certainly not ethical but those in the throes of the program generally don’t have the resources or the intestinal fortitude to challenge these people.
Hey Paige thank you!!! I’m not in florida as I’d witnessed by the cold and snow today but if I can help let me know. I actually think you are addressing two distinct and rotten realities of nursing. The all too well known reality of nurses eating their young especially if they are unliked for whatever reason (and I’ve seen plenty of horrible reasons that usually have noting to do with being a nurse) and the abusive nature of these godawful programs
