Yes thankfully they do provide us with the practice tests and I also do all the RN learning systems tests. I was just wondering what specific areas to really make sure I focus on (personality disorders, meds, cardio system, respiratory, etc).
I've taken several ATI exams in the past. There's really no way you can know what specific areas they'll test you on. Study and use the RN system tests, then take the practice tests. The practice tests are usually pretty good indicators of how you'll do (I always get a slightly higher score on the real test).
Taking the 2016 ATI Med Surg Exam soon and freaking out!!! I have read the entire book 600+ pages but for the test to only be 90 questions is insane! How can they accurately gauge what you know/learned in 90 questions from all that material? Anyone taken it recently and provide any help??? Giving myself an ucler over here, if we do not get a level 2 we do not get to move on! Any tips or information about the test or topics to review or study would be BEYOND HELPFUL!!!!!
Thanks in advance!
I'm taking my proctored med surg ATI exam tomorrow and I'm currently freaking out because I have no idea what to expect. 98 chapters to study and only 90 question?! THAT'S RIDICULOUS. Would you be kind enough to email me your report for that exam?
Go onto the ATI website and do their lessons and quizzes. We also did ATI tests at the nursing school I went to and I agree the meg-surg book was huge! I never even opened the books. I just did the lessons and quizzes and I scored great on all my proctored ATI's. Good luck!

I'm studying for my proctored med-surg and mental health ati in a few weeks. Does anyone have any advice on what to specifically focus on for each? I'm reading my book and doing every practice test along with reading every rationale. Just looking for advice on big key points to focus on. My school has also switched over to the updated 2016 versions. Has anyone taken any proctored tests from the new version?
