Hi Everyone,
Can someone please give me advice on how to pass the ATI exam on fundamentals. My school also has a rule, that if we fail, we also fail the course .
Right now I'm studying from the ATI app (fundamental section only) and reviewing questions from the back of my ATI fundamental book for each chapter. Is this enough? should I be doing something else different? I'm freaking out! Please help me y'all!!!

Take the online practice tests on the ati website. Also under "My Products" Click on "Learning System RN" and take the practice tests for the test you are studying for. It contains rationales for the correct answers. I take every test available for the exam I am studying for.

Are you taking the practice tests? Take them all, and read every rationale. Part of what you're learning to do is answer nursing-style questions, where it's not just, "What is the right answer?" but rather, "Which answer is MOST right?" Annoying, right? Yup. But get used to it, because all ATI exams are this way in order to prepare you for the NCLEX. It'll make more sense as time goes on. It's teaching you about prioritization.
Are you only reviewing those few questions at the end of each chapter? That's one resource, but you need to go beyond that in order to succeed. Do you feel like you have a thorough understanding of the content of the chapters?
If you fail once, do you get a second chance? If so, and you have to retake it, go through the results page and really study the sections you missed. Go through those later for the comprehensive exam as well, and when studying for the NCLEX (as I am now).

I know that when one of our instructors teaches the NCLEX review class to our seniors, she makes them write journals about the questions they missed. I think you are right for doing a lot of ATI practice questions. When you miss questions, write them down and try to notice if there is an overall theme to what you miss. Do you miss a lot of select all that apply? Or are they questions about "who should the nurse assess first?" This will give you insight into anything you may need to look back over, or pay more attention to!

No, we only get one shot at this and I'm a first year student. I have many to passed moving forward and if I fail one - I'm out! Gotta figure this out. My first exam is coming up soon. I'm now using the focus review section to help my study more effectively towards the items I missed. Hope all these concepts combined get me through the fire!

It is only 10% of our grade. I took it today and made a Level 3.

Study your ati book. Do lots of practice questions. You'll do fine
When is your test? You should read your ati manual. I was also worried about the ati test. I went in scared thinking I would fail. I read the book and I pulled on knowledge i gained from my fundamentals class.

Read the book and do practice tests. Took this in the fall semester if my junior year and passed with a high level 2. Good luck! :)
Wow! How did you study for the exam?
