Hi Everyone,
Can someone please give me advice on how to pass the ATI exam on fundamentals. My school also has a rule, that if we fail, we also fail the course .
Right now I'm studying from the ATI app (fundamental section only) and reviewing questions from the back of my ATI fundamental book for each chapter. Is this enough? should I be doing something else different? I'm freaking out! Please help me y'all!!!
Were they hard?
I wouldn't call them hard but I did worse on the ati's compared to regular lecture exams. I scored a 61.7 in peds (level 1) when I'm averaging an 88 in the class and a 75 (level 2) in OB when I'm averaging a 93. They were easier for me than the practice assessments though. I don't study the books because if something differs from my assigned text (which they often do) I can't use ATI books to challenge an exam question so I don't want to confuse myself with multiple resources. Overall, most of my class is quite frustrated with the 2013 exams. Most are not doing so well since they raised the level cutoffs from the 2010 versions. In the past most of us scored level 2's with a few level 3's with the 2010 exams. Now most are scoring 1's with a few level 2's with the 2013 exams.
My school doesn't require a certain level, they just give a certain amount of points based on which level you achieve. They're usually worth 10% of your overall grade in the course and if you score a below level 1 you get 50%, level 1 gives you about 83%, level 2 about 92% and level 3 about 100% and depending on the class some are worth more or less. This is also why I don't study much. You do have to average a 75% on all exams including ATI in order to pass and have assignment /project points added but it's fairly easy to score a decent amount of points.
Hmmmmm, that's interesting. What level does your school require to pass? At my school we all have to pass with a level 2 or better! And i just use ONLY ATI books to go by since most of the 2013 questions in my opinion are coming from the module books!
I'm sure the ATI exam questions come straight out of the ATI book but for regular exams, I've found on more than one occasion that the ATI book contradicts our text so I don't care to use them.

I can't remember how many were on funds because that was a year ago and the 2010 version. I just took the 2013 Peds and OB ati's and they were both 70 questions but only 60 were graded.
